    Mont Tremblant Resort is located in Quebec, Canada.  It is a large year round resort about one and a half hours north of Montreal. It is best known as a ski destination, but also features a lake suitable for swimming, and a golf course in the summer months. The name of the mountain, Mont Tremblant, means "trembling mountain" in French. The summit is at an elevation of 875 m (3,150 feet), which makes it one of the tallest peaks in the Laurentians Mont Tremblant Resort Intrawest purchased the Resort in 1991 and since then have invested approximately a billion dollars along with the Government of Quebec to make North Eastern America's number one ski destination. The mountain statistics are impressive, Mont Tremblant Resort has 94 ski trails,  to serve everyone no matter what their skill level: 17 novice runs, 31 intermediate runs as well as miles of expert terrain.

    From December 2008, skiers and snowboarders will be able to enjoy a completely new beginner-level trail linking the top of the mountain to the Versant Soleil base. Built at a cost of $3 million, and 4.6 kilometres long, the trail will provide much easier access to the Versant Soleil for every level of skier.
